When I think of Child Development...

This video tells a lot about the ability to let go and let a child create.  We all know children are creative and in their own way at that.  Somewhere along the way I think adults lose that sense of freedom.  In this video the little girl is able to create paintings without someone hovering over her or telling her about staying clean.  She is given the ability to not only be a child, but to be her own person and to be congratulated on her achievements.  This video reminds me to let go and let children be children and not to control them, but guide them.

  1. First of all, I have to say "wow" that is amazing. I
think it is good to let children grow and develop into their ownself. I also believe that partly of who a person become is genetic. You mentioned that both her mother and father are artist. Allowing the child to become with guided hands is good. Again this is amazing.

I want to say thank you for being a supportive classmate, sharing your ideas, and being helpful to the class. I have really enjoyed this class and it is due partly to having classmates that care such as yourself. Keep up the good work!!!!

  2. Tina,
It was quite refreshing to watch the video. Simply amazing that a four year old's art work sold for $27,000!!
