Some fellow coworkers of mine from the Attorney General's Office have always offered precise insight and helpful tips. I know they are a group of people I could always turn to if I had questions regarding early childhood.

Tina,
ReplyDeletewww.child.com has a lot of wonderful articles on current parenting and child development. I love how you branched out and chose things that were important to you. It shows your dedication and honest caring for your field. I'll be adding www.child.com to my list of resources as well. Thank you so much for sharing!
Trish :)
Tina,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the PARENTS website at www.child.com. I really enjoyed seeing the literacy section for parent tips on reading to your children. There is a wonderful selection of recommended books for your children. In fact the 'Family Entertainment' section is full of fun learning activities to do as a family.
I also appreciate that you listed your colleagues as resources. It has been my experience that the ideal outcomes for children and families are produced when I collaborate with my colleagues.
Respectfully,
Patty
Tina,
ReplyDeleteI love the Parents.com website! This is not one that I have visited before but I see that there are links to information that is likely frequently updated on Autism, monthly awareness items, etc.
Great find! Thanks for sharing! I will keep parents.com in mind for my future researching.

Tina,
ReplyDeleteI especially liked that you shared the Psychology Today website. I was unaware of this website and I may have found a new addiction! What a fantastic resource. I, of course, went straight to the child development section and there were a multitude of articles that distracted me! I especially liked the “Parenting with Backbone” and “Why Are We Still Medicating Our Children?”. I will definitely be sharing this resource with my co-workers. Psychology has also been a very interesting topic to me as well and it obviously goes hand-in-hand with child development and education. Thank you so much for this resource.
Tina-It's nice to see you added some of your co-workers as resources. You are fortunate to work with the Attorney General's Office of Children's Justice Task Force Staff. It's always beneficial to have trusted sources to lean on and confide in when needed.

Tina, I agree with Trish, www.child.com (www.parents.com when it came up on my screen) offers many great and useful articles/tips on child development and current issues. For example one of the first topics/issue that I observed was on car seats. This topic is crucial to the safety of children. This site will aid parents, as well as providers, on current topics/issues as they arise and serves as an excellent resource.
ReplyDeleteTina,
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to have such resources in the Children's Justice task force. A task force is a good place to share ideas and to build up a community. I'm happy for you to have these co-workers whom you can count on at any given time. Good for you!
